While staying at Warmia Resort, it is worth taking a walk to Lake Giłwa. Its name comes from the Giłwa River, which crosses it from the South to the north. Thanks to this, lake Giłwa provides excellent conditions for water sports, in particular: sailing and kayaking.
Going down to the lake from Warmia Resort, you will see a charming and cosy beach. While adults are resting, children can build sandcastles. The views here are magnificent, the blue colour of the water is breathtaking. The total area of the lake is more than 100 hectares, and the depth is up to 9.5 meters.

For sailing enthusiasts, we recommend the Ukiel Water and Ice Sailing Centre. On the lake you can rent a yacht or sailboat, as well as sign up for courses. Lake Ukiel is the largest and deepest lake in Olsztyn, so the conditions for water sports are also ideal.
While staying in Warmia, you should go kayaking. There are many places in the surrounding area that offer multi-day kayaking that will suit professional kayakers. For families with children, we recommend quiet kayaking for several hours — this is a guarantee of wonderful memories from your vacation.
The cherry on the cake is bike routes – there are a lot of them in Warmia, and the views are amazing. Trails lead through forests and along lakes. Do not forget to use the appropriate equipment that can cope even with more difficult conditions. Professional bicycles can be rented at the reception.
